Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Press Start to Play Article Edition. This week's game is Guitar Hero Aerosmith for the X-Box 360.

I'll start off by saying that I know absolutely nothing about Aerosmith but it is a Guitar Hero game so I had to pick it up. This game follows Aerosmith's beginning to end where you play some of their first gigs as well as playing at real places in the world.

There are live interviews with the band members and the loading screens give little facts about the band. The game has some rewarding unlockables. After a while you will unlock Run DMC and Aerosmith themselves.

The difficulty of the game has been toned down due to the frequent complaints of GH3 being too hard. Personally I feel this game is much easier compared to GH3. The graphics have stayed the same so there is no change there.

The setlist contains more than Aerosmith songs as well as songs you can buy from the shop. When I finished the game I only knew about four of the songs so this game is definitely for the hardcore Aerosmith fans. Most of the songs are master tracks so you can sit down and relive those days you listened to Aerosmith.

The multiplayer game, Duel, has made a return as well as pro face-off and face-off. There is still the co-operative career which makes it fun to play with a friend. You can also play online for a little challenge or you can find a friend and go through the co-operative campaign online.

This game is really for the die hard Aerosmith fan but if you have enjoyed Guitar Hero in the past then this game is at least worth a rental. I do no suggest buying it since it is costly and it is a pretty short game.

I give Guitar Hero Aerosmith 2 out of 5 for being the same as GH3 but based on Aerosmith.
